This morning, City Mayor Okwonga Alfred was joined by the Country Directors of Oxfam in Uganda and Seatini Uganda to launch the Gulu City Local Revenue Enhancement Plan. This plan is a powerful tool that can make our work easy if adhered to. Okwonga urged all city technical staff to implement it diligently and professionally with integrity because the development of Gulu City depends on them. The plan will enable this administration to leave a benchmark for leaders who will come after them and for the sustainability of Gulu City. The Country Director of Oxfam said the plan was developed through a highly consultative process to transform how the authority generates local revenue, funds development and continue to grow the city in a responsible way.
